Job Position – Senior Accountant

Key responsibilities
Oversee the mall’s accounting function and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
Supervise and review the work of accountants and junior finance staff.
Prepare financial statements, management accounts, budgets, and variance analyses.
Oversee tenant billing, rental income, service charges, receivables, collections, and reconciliations.
Monitor tenant ageing, overdue balances, and collection performance.
Review payables, supplier reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
Ensure appropriate IFRS treatment of leases, rental income, and property transactions.
Monitor operating and maintenance costs, mall profitability, and cash flow.
Support UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance, internal controls, and external audits.
Coordinate with mall management, leasing, operations, and Group Finance.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
6–10 years of relevant accounting experience, including senior-level responsibility.
Strong IFRS, financial reporting, and general ledger knowledge.
Ability to close monthly accounts independently and prepare financial statements.
Experience supervising or reviewing accounting staff.
Strong knowledge of receivables, reconciliations, accruals, and financial controls.
Advanced Excel and ERP or accounting system skills.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
Shopping mall, commercial real estate, or property management experience is highly preferred. Experience with tenant billing, lease administration, and rental income accounting is an advantage. ACCA, CMA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
